To honour and express gratitude towards all doctors, Doctors’ Day was celebrated with great zeal. Students met and greeted their family doctors and presented them with the cards they had made as a class activity.
Interactive sessions for the students were organized. Dr Sameena Shamsudhen (Consultant: Dental, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Sreechand Speciality Hospital) and Dr Mridula Shankar (Consultant Paediatrician Govt. Women and Children Hospital, Mangattuparamba. Secretary, Indian Academy of Paediatrics, Kannur Branch) were the resource persons for the sessions.
The doctors focused on health and hygiene and importance of leading a healthy life.
For Pre- Primary pictures of medical equipments like stethoscope, thermometer, gloves, syringe, etc were shown. Teacher spoke about doctor’s kit, healthy habits, and personal hygiene and also sang doctor related rhymes.
Eye Camp was also held for all students in connection with the same.
